The new season of Welk shows on public television is in the works and is also in the process of being taped and put together!Also, it is confirmed that Sheila and Sherry Aldridge are one of the many exciting interviews conducted by Mary Lou Metzger....as well as Rocky Rockwell!
More information to follow later....I'll keep you posted on both this fine blog and when all the interviews are accounted for....put them on my webpage's news section.Also, speaking of the Aldridge Sisters....I got a nice email from Sherry that she and Sheila were recently at Crossnore's Heritage Festival over in Avery County, North Carolina. Here's some interesting fun facts I learned....the sisters and their family actually come from this part of the Tar Heel State, they were living and performing in Knoxville, Tennessee around the time they met the Maestro.
It's alot of fun knowing about your family's roots....mine in particular have their roots (my mother's side) originally hail from the Alsace-Lorraine region of France.
Ironically, that's the same region where another famous family, Lawrence Welk's, can trace their roots from!
Now that's something to think about.....

How do you find all this information out? Amazing...
I'm very glad to hear Shelia and Sherry will be interviewed. I've wondered what they've been up to. They were terrific on the show.
