Natalie Nevins' Birthday
Today is Natalie Nevins' birthday, and I have written a haiku to celebrate this event!

Whatever happened to Natalie Nevins? She was one of the most talented artists on the Welk show. Outrageous the way he fired her!

Welk also fired Alice Lon (the original Champagne Lady) and Cissy King. The Lennon sisters were "eased out" after they asked for more money. Their appearances became less frequent, and according to their autobiography, one day they were just not on the schedule.
