Jamie Corey's birthday
Today is Jamie Corey's birthday.
A lot of Welkies are probably saying...."Jamie who?" or "I don't remember anyone by that name on the Welk show!"
I'll fill in the blanks, she was a member of the music makers for just a season (1976-77)....hails from Indianapolis and worked mostly in the orgainzation's youth training program. She mostly did group choral numbers, and had one solo number "I Got Rhythm" from the "Springtime" episode in '77.
And here's a birthday haiku for Ms. Corey....you can't find stuff like this anywhere else on the web.

Jamie Corey
Any of you Welk fans remember Jamie Corey?
Featured here from the 1977 episode titled "Springtime", Jamie who is from Indianapolis....spent just one season on the show (1976-77), she just had one solo number, and I think this is the one....she sang "I Got Rhythm". She was also part of Welk's "Youth Oppurtunity Training Program" getting her formal training down at the Welk resort in Escondido.
