Maybe the Paley Center could video record the event, that would be cool.

I'd like to be there, too! Is it just a one-day event?
If you are in touch with any of the Welk stars maybe you can write them and ask if you can get a recording of the show. You still have time to clear your calendar and book a one day trip there. What fun that would be. It is amazing that after all these decades that they get together periodically for all these great events. Hope you can get a chance to go. Then you can blog about it.
