First aired in 1999, the special featured Welk stars Norma Zimmer, Bob Ralston, Mary Lou Metzger, Tom Netherton, Guy Hovis and Ralna English.
The special featured some of America's favorite hymns and religious songs that were featured on the Lawrence Welk Show....a mix of archived musical numbers and newer performances.
Among the singers we saw include Jimmy Roberts singing "Abide By Me" and "Faith Unlocks The Door."
It was also in '99 that Jimmy Roberts passed on....and the stars did a nice tribute to him.
More songs that were included had Guy & Ralna sing "Put Your Hand In The Hand"
Not to be outdone; Gail, Sandi & Mary Lou joined the gang in singing "He's Got the Whole World (In His Hands)"
Other numbers featured were "Why Me Lord", "Count Your Blessings" and "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" just to name a few.
Hard to believe it has already been ten years ago....time goes by pretty fast.
