In this month's entry, we stay in the kitchen for another recipe of home cooking from one of the Champagne Music Makers!

First published in 2007 as one of the thank you gifts from Ralna English's pledge special "From My Heart". Ralna's Family Cookbook features down home recipes such as Beer Can Chicken, Sunday Pot Roast, Dang Good Pie, Texas Salsa and Trash (or Cereal Mix).

This book is a family affair, in the truest since since the recipes featured are submitted by Ralna herself, her sisters Sharon and Jane and original creations from her mom, dad and Aunt Pearl.

It's a wunnerful, wunnerful book, filled with vintage pictures from her family album and mouthwatering delights you can cook up for your family and friends at your next get-together.

And it's also good reading too, when you're munching on a handful of Trash!

First published in 1985, and again in 2002....this book is a collection of personal recipes from members of the Musical Family complied by Cinda Goold Redman (Michael Redman's wife) and Jo Berry. Jack Imel's Sugar Cream Pie, Kenny Trimble's Black-Eyed Peas, Dick Dale's Beef Ribs, Gail Farrell's Veal Piccata are one of many tasty dishes featured in the book.

And of course, the Maestro himself, Lawrence Welk has his famous Chicken N' Dumplin's recipe as well!

I guarantee that there is a recipe that suits anyone's different taste, and is a great way to spice up breakfast, lunch or dinner.

And overall, make this featured book of the month worth reading!

Lynn Anderson - Nacho Mama

In addition to being a world famous country singer and equestrian (that's horseback rider), Champagne Music Maker Lynn Anderson is also one terrific cook!

Especially when it comes to Tex Mex dishes hence the nickname "Nacho Mama"

The following is from an 2003 episode of Lorraine Crook's Country Kitchen show recently on RFD-TV where the other half of Crook & Chase learns from the Nacho Mama herself some of her favorite dishes.

Here she makes a serving of Trout Dip which is followed by Macadamia Trout.

And if you're wondering, Lynn loves to go trout fishing as well...

Now we go to the Tex Mex dishes!
