Music Memories & Salute to Dr. Dolittle

This week's show is really an awesome late 1960s episode, it's a combination of music memories and a partial salute to Dr. Dolittle...the original version that was released in 1968, the same year this show aired!

In the opening number, here's the cast and some housetrained animals with the song, "Talk To The Animals"

Now here's the trombone section getting very friendly with Tanya Falan as she sings, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You".

Next, is the always lovely Lennon Sisters on some oversized building blocks with the song "Where Are The Words".

In the solo spot is Andra Willis, singing "Love Me With All Your Heart" in both English and Spanish....

....and that was at least five years before Anacani joined the show!

Bringing actual words to the Summer Samba, Sandi & Sally here provide the vocals to this nice song that makes it "So Nice".

And here's the Big Three (not Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett & Ray Allen) of Jack Imel, Bobby Burgess and Arthur Duncan with "Teamwork".

Other great numbers in the show have Cissy & Bobby dancing to "I Want My Mama" in Samba style, the Lennons doing an encore with "Cuanta La Gusta" and Lynn Anderson singing "I've Been Everywhere" where she attempts to name every city and town in the US of A in just one three minute song.

Like I said, tonight's show was awesome with a capital "A"!

In the hot seat this week is Kathy Lennon, who talks about how she wanted to be a secretary when she grew up....her fun times on the Welk show, her role as Lennon Family Historian and her current adventures with the Best Pals line of CDs and dolls....you can tell she has two of those dolls in her arms.

The next new episode will be in three weeks, but I'll still see you much earlier than that!
