School Days

This week's show is a classic repeat...School Days, which orginally aired on September 18, 1971. The late Myron Floren was the host along with Bobby Burgess and Myron's grandkids, here's the gang dressed in their finest JCPenney Back-To-School wear singing "School Days."

As you can tell, the show is off to a good start.

Sandi & Sally were up next with Charlie Parlato teaching him the alphabet with "A, You're Adorable" followed by Myron on the squeezebox with "Shall We Dance" followed by Dick Dale with his clique Guy & Ralna, Buddy Merrill and Kenny Trimble with "Good Ol' Murphy High".

These kids has to be voted Most Popular On Campus!

Cissy & Bobby were popular in tonight's episode. Here's America's Most Popular Dance Couple with a rather stimulating number called "Music To Watch The Girls Go By".

And that's Bobby getting happy feet by the sight of Cissy.

The orchestra was in top form, playing the Woodchopper's Ball and Smoke Gets In Your Eyes. They also did a wunnerful job with a meldey of songs from Meredith Wilson's play, "The Music Man" playing such favs as "76 Trombones", "Gary, Indiana" and adding flavor to solo spots such as "Goodnight My Someone" by Norma Zimmer and "Trouble" with Jack Imel and the rest of the gang.

Meanwhile, back on campus....Mary Lou Metzger as head librarian taught the class about music with a little "Do Re Mi" and Arthur Duncan proved to everyone that You Got To Be A Football Hero followed by Joe Feeney singing about his sweetheart of Sigma Chi.

And when was being in the library this fun for you?

It was a fun, kitschy early 1970s show for all of us in Cyber Champagneland. We were also treated to one of the most akward Chicken Dance ever presented when Myron's grandkids (Bobby's offspring) did the honors, you have to see it for yourself.

See you all next week, hope your school year is off to a great start!
