Now that I have a whole day to return to normalcy....I can now give you details of my Thursday at Bear Creek Farms.
I went to see the Aldridge Sisters and the Otwell Twins perform.
Here's a few interesting shots I took at Bear Creek....
I wonder if this guy ever auditioned for the Maestro? These are some sweet vintage wheels.....
....and yes, Indiana also makes fine wines, and not just know for auto racing, basketball and the Colts
I saw both the 2:00 and 7:30 shows, they did a great job as always singing and entertaining the crowd. The Aldridge Sisters (Sherry and Sheila) began with "It Takes Two", followed by "Angel" dedicated to their sister Sue who passed away less than a year ago, excited the fans with "Dancing Queen" and very soulful and melancholic with "Blue Bayou".
Next up were the Otwell Twins (Roger and David), they sang about their Martin Guitars, saluted John Denver with "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and performed some of their own material like "How Do You Say Goodbye" just to name a few.
Later, the fellas were joined by the girls....and really brought back memories when they sang numbers like "Knee Deep In Loving You", "Oh Shenandoah", "Never Ending Song Of Love", "California Dreamin" and of course the Welk Show's Adios closing song!
The whole day was great, especially the meet and greet aftershows....it was like catching up with old friends.
